Antil To Burrows

They're all crowded in the Royal Amber Hotel lobby like sheep crowding round grass. Except these sheep won't have a peaceful grazing tonight, there's a big bad wolf on her way and she's not happy. I can't see them from where I am, but I know what they're doing, getting smashed on booze. So it's their fault they're going to die, they're not alert enough to escape their fate, plus the fact that I've created an ingenious plan that cannot go wrong.

I've been waiting for an opportunity like this for years, the chance to really get my revenge on the world, and not just any members of the public either, the law enforcement are going down. It's been two years since the death of my father, shot down in our temporary home by the police after resisting arrest and assaulting an officer. It all started with numerous offences, too many to count, but the most serious was murder.

His name was Derek Antil and he was a serial killer, one of the best, and he only died because of one stupid mistake, but I'm not saying that he probably didn't deserve to die, he'd killed over 100 people afterall. Though he was hated by thousands, I loved him, I mean he did raise me, but that wasn't the only reason. I don't know whether being around a killer or seeing people die did it but I idolize what he does, I respect him, and yes I'm pyschotic, but like father like daughter eh?

I'm hoping my plan works perfectly, I've only just turned eighteen and I don't fancy spending life in prison for what I'm about to do, hopefully my father's cleverness and slyness really starts to kick in. Not that anyone's going to look for his innocent, sweet lovable daughter Kate Antil (aka me) well, not anywhere further than our local morgue. Don't worry, I'm not dead, I just found someone that looked similar to me and made her take my place.

Her name was Alicia Davis, a high school bimbo and a super bitch. She has long brown hair and deep brown eyes, just like me (what a coincidence), we were even the same height (5'8) and she had the same facial structure, scary huh? She was like my twin, and you know what they say about twins don't you? Always an evil one and a good one, guess which one I am? Of course, the evil one naturally, being pyschotic has nothing to do with it, I'm just pure evil at heart.

Hell it was so easy to get the stupid cow inside my house, I mean all I had to say was that she had left something round mine and she should come and pick it up. The reality was that she'd never been round my house, that's how stupid she is. She came inside and started making small talk to be 'polite', though we never got on at school. She ended up talking so much that I just wanted to stab her, but I couldn't, blood samples would have given me away instantly.

I had to wait a full ten minutes of her mindless chatting until I could actually strangle her, but I got her upstairs to claim her 'lost item'. I'd hung a noose from the top staircase banisters and when she was just about to go down, I slipped the thing over her neck and pushed her through the weak wood. I smiled as she spun in circles and choked to death for endless beautiful minutes, and then went still while the rope kept swinging backwards and forwards in a wonderous swinging motion.

My plan for death was obviously a suicide, I'd just leave her there in that very undignified position acting as me. I went into my bedroom and cleaned out anything I wanted to keep, though I'd moved everything into our bigger house in the country (We'd acquired a lot of money through 'generous' donars, you could say we took everything). I went through the rest of the house, gathering any artefacts that I loved, rugs, paintings etc and bunged them into my car outside. After having collected everything I wanted, I went outside to get some oil from the shed and sloshed it all over the house, including on Alicia.

I chucked the bottle on the floor and took the matches from my pocket, making my way up the stairs to Alicia. I had to plan this part well to pull off 'my' suicide. I reached out my gloved (obviously) hands to her body and held her hand palm up. Fiddling wildly to get the thing to work, I eventually lit a match and I placed in her hand, letting it burn her fingers for a second then letting her hand drop. I sprinted down the stairs as the match dropped down from the height and made the oil below erupt in flames. I shut the door, ran into my car and drove off as fast as I could without being too suspiscious.

I arrived at the bigger house about an hour later, the image of the police swarming around the smaller one and finding a body they can't identify putting a smile on my face. Even if they did identify it in a few years time and realise it's not me, they'll never find me because I've changed my name. I changed it to Kate Burrows a few weeks earlier to this, bribing a judge so it would be legal but giving him enough extra money to keep my documents hidden. In fact, I'm the only person in the country to keep them at my house.

And now, back to the present and the hotel event, this is going to be some major display. I know a computer geek who can hack into any system, which he did for me in the hotel. I got him to put carbon monoxide in the air conditioning system, make all the lights go out, lock all the exits and windows, and finally, short circuit every electrical appliance and set off the sprinklers (which contain gasoline instead of water). Everyone inside dies of poisoning, and if that doesn't get them, the fires will. It all kicks off at 8:30 and its quarter past now, I have to get a move on.

I walk through the basement and walk in room 6 where Gary Ruffle (aka the geek) was setting up his equipment. I have assured him that he will be safe from everything that happens here tonight and the sucker believes me.

"Hey Gary, everything set to go?"

"Yeah, everything's ready. You just have to press enter." He replies in a squeaky voice, his rounded glasses falling from his nose, erghhh he's so ugly.

"Oh that's good, because I really should get moving."

"Why? You'll be safe down here won't you? I will be."

"You're so lame Gary. You don't think the carbon monoxide will actually stop before the basement do you?"

"Well yes, because you told me that..."

"You're so stupid." I sighed, then let out a mild laugh. "The air conditioning reaches down here too you idiot."

"Then we have to go, we have to..."

"You aren't going anywhere, only I am." I teased, walking toward him while withdrawing a long glistening knife from behind my back.

He lept up off his seat, "I've done everything for you," He stuttered," You can't just kill me."

"Actually I can. I can work out the rest of the event for myself, and seeing as you know the one who did it all, you need to die."

He backed into the wall, sheer panic written in his eyes, I loved that look I could create. I watched him shaking in fear, I felt powerful, controlling but stabbing him wasn't the answer, I'd get blood all over me. Instead I stopped, letting relief fill his face before I pulled out a shotgun from behind a nearby cupboard (which I had planted a few hours before) and blew off his fat, ugly head. Man that felt good.

I walked over to the laptop and looked at the screen, I wasn't supposed to start the sequence until half eight in my scheduling, but oh well, they can all die early. I pressed enter and stormed out of the room, striding down the corridor towards the exit before it locked itself. I got out, hid my gun in my car and sat in the park opposite the hotel waiting for the screams and the fires.

Everyone in there may not deserve to die, but I'm making a point that the police shouldn't have killed my father, the serial killer Derek Antil. He left before his time, before he was able to finish what he started, too bad really, we would have made a great team. Looks like I'll have to finish his work for him in my own little way. This is just the start, I'm thinking of stepping up my game next time...
