What have I done?
I have never felt so alone.
I'm standing beside her,
but she's the one on the throne.
Mai and Ty lee
are around here somewhere,
but they are her friends, not mine,
so why should I care?
My sister just killed the Avatar,
I turned my back on my uncle again,
I ruined the dream of his tea shop,
and I think I lost my only friend.
Azula's filing her nails,
she's always known her place.
She's always landed on her feet,
I've always fallen flat on my face.
We've taken over Ba Sing Se,
but none of this feels right.
I can't believe how it all changed
in just a single night.
Author notes
These are the thoughts running through Zuko's mind after the Earth Kingdom has been taken over by him and his sister. And he's regretting his actions.

Wow!

Love it! I used to hate Zuko until the Earth book. Now I feel bad for him. Although he looks better without the ponytail.

I like it. Zuko is awesome, but this poem is even more so. I like the way it rhymed, because it didn't sound like you were forcing it to. There was no trouble in feeling the character's emotions. Nice job, Shadow Fairy!
