A sheet of photo-paper listlessly
swimming in mid-day winds, countless
exposures, a somber dance of light against
the otherwise bleak of bleak pallid trail
which eventually everyone will go.
Held by a distance, a wink of perception
trapping us, persuing us in its leisure, we
too commence in its crimes and sins, Stockholm
syndrome, I am affected too, being conscious of
a reality does nothing to cope; Why won't my captor let me go?
The sky invaded by vivacious lights, refracted off
gasses from some inter stellar being, like a package
delivered to you and I, the sky halfway illuminated
by mans forboding stares, no, this isn't light pollution,
but rather pollution by pittance of thought. By mind.

thought-provoking.......
This reminds me of how life can sometimes be overwhelming at times. It's as if our minds get polluted to the point that they nearly burst at the seams, yearning for just a glint of release. I know that my mind does this topsy-turvy roll from time to time, to the point of over-exposure. It's difficult to avoid watching the news, knowing full well how much of the world seems to be falling apart, but I do anyway.

I think it is well written but would like to know if it was just life that inspired this or something more particular. I took me about20 minutes to digest and about a dozen re- reads. I think you have done really well.

I loved this when you read it to me. I love even more now that I can see it on the screen and hear your voice in my head as I read it. I love the concept of this...it's so beautiful and such a wonderful metaphor for life. You wrap it up nicely from beginning to end. I wish I had your talent yet again.
