Curtains of Confession

Crimson coughs on white sheets.
Wilting voice,
and sapless spirit.

Worn veins burst,
and I
have a few words to say.

Resultant revelations-
a destructive declaration.

Known, unknown,
all concerned must know;
as the curtains fall upon life,
I admit my betrayal.
I forgot to live.

    That was a truly excellent ending! I loved the colour contrast in the first stanza, it set the scene really well. Great writing. Good luck in the contest.
