The Lord's love is like love never experienced before
when you allow his word to drown your heart
and let his love and grace touch the very core of your being
and then you'll see...
that being at Jesus' feet
is the best place to be in the world!
He died a slow and painful death
so that we could live
an eternal life by His side
With His blood he sealed a new convenant with us,
a greater symbol of love can never be found
than what He did for us:
"that he lay down his life for his friends"
Remember what He did for you and hold him in your heart
follow His ways,
For He is the only one
who wants nothing but the very best for you.
Can such love ever be seen elsewhere?
And then one day when you find that the world has turned against you
when you lie alone with your pain,
you will find solace at His feet,
Like a warm, comforting glow spreading in your heart,
and the intensity of His love for you
will hush away your fears
and dry every one of your tears.
Jesus is still alive today,
He loves you more than you can imagine
love that surpasses all mortal understanding
love which will last for eternity
and much beyond

HOODWINKED!
This is a great poem of praise and faith for the One that Loves us like no other. His Love is amazing, almost unbelievable that anyone could love us that much, to bare the sorrows, abuse and injustice He did just to rescue us from Hell! Your poem is encouraging and inspiring, thank you for sharing your faith and your words of wisdom.
Write On!
You have been Hoodwinked today by the Poetic Bandits
because WE CARE!

WOW
Loved by the Savior, there is no greater love. Now let us turn His love into love for others as He commanded us to do.
-
Sentiments and faith well expressed in these lines - easy to read and understand how you feel about the Lord.

-
Wonderful testiment of faith. I enjoyed the oppurtunity to read such wonderful words. "Great is thy faithfulness!"

-

"Can such love ever be seen elsewhere?"
No - and that is the question that every human soul needs to answer in order to find peace, joy, and meaning. He is everything and loves us with every fiber of His eternal being. He is love and we just need to sit at His feet and be blessed.
I love this poem. It has brought me to a place of worship. Thank you for posting it on our group board.
Love and hugs,
Joanne

This poem is really awesome. It is so true , and it completely captures the emotions one feels when thinking about the Lord. The second stanza is great, especially with Good Friday just passing, and Easter tomorrow.
He died a slow and painful death
so that we could live
an eternal life by His side
With His blood he sealed a new convenant with us,
a greater symbol of love can never be found
than what He did for us:
"that he lay down his life for his friends"
This section really rings true, and you expressed it very well. Great Job!

this was a fantastic write my friend I am not a heaps Relgious person but this poem made me think more about it. Thanks for sharing it with us all.

-
I'm not very relgious anymore, I mean I'm a Christian but I'm my own beliver if that makes sense. However your poem reminded me of some of the beautiful sprituality that one can experince through the Lord and his son. Thanks for your comment on "kiss" . This was a very well penned poem that flowed gracefully.
-
This is a truly spiritual piece. There is most definitely no friend better than the one who died for us all, who laid down His life for us and yet most of us don't even care. I wish I could reach out to people like this and express what I'd mean to say the way that you do. Your work is an inspiration to at least give that a try. It's very true and touching, and I love that. Amazing write. <3

-
a very good write here. great subject and a clear and easy to read message. Nice one
-
It is a great thing when someone lays down his life for you; that is the true test of friendship. I look forward to this.
-
I really enjoyed reading this. Although I'm not Christian, I can understand why you love him so much. Great job!
-
This is very good. My favorite line is "Like a warm, comforting glow spreading in you heart." My only suggestion is that "he" and "his" in reference to God be capitalized everywhere. It's not capitalized in the first stanza.
-
Beautiful and heartfelt...thanks for sharing. I like the ending very much... 'love which will last for eternity and much beyond'. I've heard that the reason that God exists out of time, and we are given eternal bodies, is that it will take that long to glorify Him. Nice poem.

-
This is beautiful! I love it when we're able to use our writing for God's glory!
-
I didn't really read this as a poem. It didn't feel like one, but I could definently see it as a meditation. There was only one line that didn't sit well with me, "so that we can live." I wanted to the "can" to be "could" though both work - yes.
A very nice piece of work here. Spreading your faith.
-
This is a wonderful poem. His is love is is greater than no other love. Not an easy decision to make. No something just anyone can do.
-
This is a beautiful reminder of the depth of love Jesus holds for us. You have used your poetic talent to praise the Lord in a wonderful way. Thank you for sharing.

-
this is a good spiritual piece of poetry which you have written here, it has a good rhythm to it, an enjoyable read, thank you for sharing. spill ink and twist me into the crazy shape of love...
-
This is a beautiful tribute to Jesus and a wonderful message of hope.

Don't mean to sound bitter...
But I wish God would hit me with a lightning bolt or something. I wanna die.
-
well done. you captured the essential nature of the God's love for us.
-
one thumb up
I thought it was well-done, with the exception of the last line; I'd change it to "and to eternity." "and much beyond" sounds a bit clunky and throws the flow a bit. I believe it gives God the glory He deserves.
-
you have shown us the message of hope and love. this is a very spiritually uplifting write. your faith shines through. superb writing. we need more of this type writing. so uplifting. what joy we have in the Lord!
-
A beautiful heartfelt write and message. Very nice flow. Good tone. Deep expression of feeling. Your faith shines through in this piece. You have expressed the love of God beautifully in this piece. A much enjoyed read.
-
Wow. Very interesting. Well done.
-
Spiritfilled
I love the poem here. Which is really a message of hope, faith and love. You have said it well and have said it all. You tell the story of the salvation plan of God, which is Christ Cruicified, and you tell how wonderful it is to be in the service of Jesus. This is wonderful so heartfelt and full of emotion. It is fabulous. I love reading stuff with a true wonderful meaning like this. This is a message the whole world needs to hear. God bless you sister. Thank you for sending me this link. It has blessed me this day.

Good Write
I like your poem. I think it has good imagery with a message. I have a suggestion for the last line. You could write "and for eternity" in place of much beyond. It's just a thought, it's your poem.
-
Breathtaking!
You have captured the power of a soul that has true meaning. That the promise made is the promise kept and all was asked was to beleive and follow. It comes naturally to want to share the news of Our Lord Jesus and the agony He knew He would go through to see us saved. Fantastic, Wonderful, and Stimulating. Imagery is Overwhelming as the emotion too. Love It, Don
