snowflake
sole wanderer
on the waft of winter,
sauntering slowly as it glides
above my uplifted eyes awaiting
the cold caress of it’s glory,
twirling up on the breeze,
floats away the
snowflake
Author notes
Rictameter
I saw the first snowflake of winter this morning, and stood in the parking lot watching it for quite some time. I only wish there had been more...........

As an Alaskan, I love anything relating to now. Wonderful poem! Thanks for entering!

You bring such a sense of yourself to this and every poem, and you already know how much I admire your writing of this form.
I'll be sure to return to this poem those first dog-days of August...It will feel like a blast of cold air-conditioner air coming to read it then! Lovely writing, Girl, as always...
