Midnight Opera

Tonight I sang
magic at the clouds
but not in full voice,
Oh no, not for tonight
no, that would never do
for this tortured love

tonight it was in falsetto,
notes of gentlest love
as the cold wind blew
and the clouds blocked the stars
but, I was loved many times over,
undeservedly, gratefully
buffering me against
the singularity of cognition

I knew the stars were there,
above the clouds
even though I couldn't see
their boundless wonder
and I laughed
at my impatience
until it vaporized
warming the night
and echoing off the cliffs,
whispering of
angelic possibilities
and magical gifts
for you

    Loved it Allan...

I love the words you used, and the way everything flows into one...

Lucky is she, who deserve and receive all these gifts...

Keep the pen flowing with ink that never fades...

    Amazing

i love the last part most but overall i really loved it! I'm really fond of the night time so when i see the words stars and moon and clouds i just love it but its even better when those words come together and create a pretty poem like this!
