A True Poet - For Night Hope

Suave across the cotton paper,
  her fingers make the pen so golden.
Her words halt beauty
  and make silence grow even quieter.

Each word drips with creativity,
  doused in poetic perfection,
coming together in a masterpiece
  coveted by the silver-tongued poet.

Every scroll of spilt ink
  magnifies her tender soul,
forming poems written lightly
  upon her heart.

Even a blind man would come to find
  that she is the essence of poetry,
bottled, shaken
  and set free as a butterfly;
And her delicate wings
  kiss the cheek of her beholder.

Oh how many wish
  to captivate her rampant spirit.
If even I briefly stunned her fluttering words…
  at least briefly…

To Night Hope, in all your beautiful work.

    My goodness, the poet knows the poet well. What a beautifully thught-out and expressed poem about my sister.
    She does, indeed, make a pen seem golden and her expression of how things have fluttered against her heart is exceptional.
    You have penned her perfectly in this:
    "Even a blind man would come to find
    that she is the essence of poetry,
    bottled, shaken
    and set free as a butterfly;
    And her delicate wings
    kiss the cheek of her beholder. "

    Thank you for this. It is written by a gentle soul who would know the sound of a butterfly with a broken wing.
