This is my self given halo,
and the worthless worship comes for free,
but hanging with these stars,
it's my tears you never get to see.
The loneliness that sneaks up on me,
all the tissues that fall from the sky,
late in the starry night,
and the tearstains on my dress as I cry.
They say tenderness is not hard to find,
but honesty is hardly ever true,
and I wish I could find it,
find it the way it was with you.
You're what raised me to this midnight,
and my hate burned black rage,
and fire tears still fall from my eyes,
as you live on earth to die of age.
If the stars could burn with all my hate,
it still wouldn't be enough,
and every inch of me would still tingle,
still itch to claim your love.
Pain is not enough for me,
and my emptiness is as great as the sun,
it is always too late,
for you, this is what I have become.
And my love for you will never die,
you don't see it hidden behind my hate,
and every time my heart beats
I question this being our fate.
And I will beg forgiveness,
if only you would ask,
I would give up eternity
to just once more hold your hand.

I'm not sure this is a very straightforward interpretation of the picture, but thanks for giving it to me =D

I really liked this piece. "They say tenderness is not hard to find, but honesty is hardly ever true" I really loved this part. But the last stanza was the one that really got to me. good job
