remembering when...

remembering when i was a little girl...
all the times you fixed my hair
all the hugs that meant the world
i thought you would always be there

remembering when i was a little older
everytime you made me smile
when i cried i had your shoulder
i didn't know i was going to losee you in a little while

remembering when i thought i was old enough
all the times you put up with me
but you lilstened to all my childish stuff
i didnt know He was going to set you free

remembering when you were laying in that bed
thinking of allthe happy times
all of them flashing through my head
i'd give anything just to hear your voice,
just to see you smile, just to feel the warmth of your skin

i have to let you go
but it is so hard to do so
i used to ask god why
why did he let you die

he took you for a reason
i have to accept that you are gone
i have to say good bye
even if letting go makes me ....
