Evening Prayer

Dear God

Grant me the acceptance to change
the things that destroy my strength
but if not,
grant me enough
red wine to accelerate
my slight intoxication
to dreamless oblivion.

Over and out,
Annie

I tried to remove the poem, but couldn't. It appears as if only you can do it at this point, so please do so when you have a moment.

    Thanks,

If you had read any other poems containing religious content, you might have realized I loathe religion. I probably should have specified that in the contest. But this screams out against everything I believe. Therefore, I don't really like it. Sorry.
