when I look around me
at all the porno flicks
with naked boobs and buttocks
and big hard horny dicks
I can’t help but think back
to the first X rated movie I saw
oh so many years ago
‘twas unclothed bosoms in the raw
it was at the local drive-in
that me and my boyfriend went
thinking we would get a thrill
for the money we had spent
well it took forever for us to see
what we’d been waiting for
but sort of a big letdown
we’d really expected more
just two young lovers
who ended up on the beach
and as they lay upon the sand
‘neath her blouse he reached
as she lay there all expectant
waiting for his advance
he pulled down her peasant blouse
ahh, we thought, at last, romance
her young breasts exposed
was quite a thrill that night
as her soft skin shimmered
in the pale glow of moonlight
oh, wow, we thought as we watched
this amorous dirty movie show
now we’ll get to see some stuff
about which we didn’t know
we waited motionless and breathless
and held hands real tight
as he kissed her lovely silken neck
oh my gosh, we gasped, what a night
well, that was the end of that
the movie faded to the morn
they didn’t even have sex, we said
so much for early porn
I can’t recall the name of it
nor who starred in the show
or why it was even rated X
have no idea, just don’t know
for today as we watch on our tv
the daytime talk shows and soaps
we see more flesh and intimacy
hear filthy language, dirty jokes
the x rated movies have become porn
can be seen by young and old
‘cuz movie makers don’t seem to care
they just go for the gold
so now I wish that I had seen
the worth of that movie long ago
instead of being faced today
with sleaze and lust …I’d rather go
leaving something to the imagination
I wish once more I could see
the innocence of love on screen
in my first X rated movie

This is a true story, happened way back in 19....ummm... errr... well a long time ago. Let's just say it was AFTER 1954... and before 2001

smiles - sometimes it is better left to the imagination kicks tapes under the carpet ahem. i was smiling all the way through this and then you twisted it which was really good, with the words of they just don't care who sees them. a very good piece dee

don't touch it!
I never knew porn could be so......poetic! -
don't touch it!
ok. im 21 and i feel badly for all the so called R ratings these movies get. they should get worse rating than they do. they have childrens movies that no longer are fit for my child. i will not let her watch something that says 'dammit' and the like. even the blue lagoon was r rated and it barely showed anything. that is a good movie. but i do love this poem. -
Lol... OK.... Well, I said I wasn't sure what the name of it was... but it did have Jane Russell in it and what I said was the reason for the X rating...Now that you've said what Midnight Cowboy was (of much more recent years)... though I never saw it... I was a teenager when the one came out that I was talking about... so at least I have a reason for memory lapse...lol... Now it'll bug me 'til I recall the name... I'll let you know when I think of it...might be in the middle of the night, though, so watch out : )

LOL...Midnight Cowboy wasn't a western! Jon Voight played a country stud who goes to New York. He hooks up with vagrant Ratso (Dustin Hoffman). They're broke and hungry so he starts hiring himself out as a gigolo to wealthy women. Ha! Guess you've not been around as long as you let on. : ) -
Lol.... Thanks Nando and all of you.... Hey Nando... remember the movie with Jane Russell and ....ummm.. I think Robert Mitchum, not sure.. but I remember being so upset 'cuz I wasn't allowed to see it because it was X rated but some of my friends saw it and they told me the big X was because it showed a shadow outline of her keeping him 'warm'when he was sick.... maybe it was midnight cowboy that you mentioned... I do remember that it was a western..something like that....Anyhow... how times have changed.

Oh my, I think I just saw ANKLES! Everythings relative, I guess. (Hey, I think thats a porn flick, too.)
Midnight Cowboy was X-rated once upon a time and won a Best Picture Oscar. Perhaps there's still hope for recognition of fine films such as Forrest Hump, Titanic Orgy and Pokahotass...uh...maybe not. -
excellent
lol.. i dunno what's funnier, the poem or people talking about pornos.. lol.. me agrees.. this world is sick and twisted and decaying everyday.. course I doubt I help stopping that.. heh.. it's either gonna get worse ad worse.. or they'll be a world wide flood.. lol.. (thoughts from a 15 yo mind.. freakish eh?) -
excellent
the first one i saw was when i was eight years old, i found some tapes under my parents bed, and i put one on, and it was some secretary doing her work, then a guy comes in they both go to the couch and start doing it, and showing everything. this was back in 1985, and that was XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX i've only seen two porno's that is worth watching more than once.
Culigula which is a real movie and porn, and some movie called, i believe, Nuetron Man. that made me laugh.
anyways, enough about you.
:0)

Well, I don't remember the first X movie I saw... guess it was somtime after I married. Oh well, better to make your own porn at home in bed! Who needs a movie? Good write. -

so you were busy making out and then looked up at the screen to see how the couple was doing? how smart was that? i hope you're much smarter these days. porn is such a big businesssome of it harmless. some should be banned. some is just a waste. and nothing better than live. your poem brings back lots of memories. you are a little firecracker -
don't touch it!
*Smiles*
Wonderful poem!
Made me laugh and smile!
I have to agree with Jmm about the whole Dirty Dancing scene.
:)~ -
excellent
*giggles!* this is excellent!! -

Lol. I remember the two lovers would kiss and fall to the bed, fade to black, the next day you would see her buttoning her blouse, him putting his shirt on. Times have changed. I prefer the tease to all out sex. One of the sexiest scenes I believe, at least to me, was in the movie Dirty Dancing. They were dancing and I think it was the first time they gave in to their attraction. You didn't see anything but their eyes meet and the back of his hand slides slowly down her neck to the side of her breast. Wow. I loved it. Love this poem too...jenna
Edited by Jmm on right now. -

LMAO...you're a scream Dee!! LOL This is absolutely fabulous and oh so true!! -
true, and the rhyme gives a light feeling to something of a more serious side.

This one *has* to get five stars! Brilliantly put and SO true... I enjoyed reading this very much! Thanks!
-
you are right. Great job
-
So true for we of the older generation.
-
I really enjoyed this! I long for the good old days when some things were left to your imagination! :-) Maureen

tee hee
i like this it's funny
and sad but true.... you're a good poet -
Thanks everyone for all of your comments. They're much appreciated. And I'm glad that some of you can identify with this poem.... sometimes I think I'm the only 'old lady' on here...not that 'I' think I'm old, ya know... I'm still 17 at heart and if I were to see this movie today, I'd probably feel pretty much the same as I did then....well, almost anyway. Thanks again

Quite appropriate poem and a timely topic!...I resent movies that graphically show everything because it robs us of our imagination. The old suspense movies were just that, because our own imagined horrors were much more frightening than someone else's creation. Movies could be as romantic as our minds could envision. m

Very nice. :o)
-
this was...well...interesting. After 1954 eh? yes...interesting.
-
Nice...very well done
-
....or feel the electric charge in a young boy's hand and 16 again! You have captured a moment in time incredibly sexy, Kid.
-
omg jen you are a nasty girl! lol nekid tellitubbies scare me :(
-
lol! i dont see thats so good bout x rated movies...then again i've never watched one
-
lol.. of course it does, Jen, what else could it mean
-
yeah I do remember that lol , ;) fortunately the ones on sesame street, we only see from the waist up...does that many muppets nekid on the set mean its a furry orgie?
-
hahaha.. oh, Jen, you're such a pervert : )I doubt if you remember this but I remember all the old black and white Mickey Mouse cartoons where he was always lifting Minnie's skirt .... no wonder our kids got in trouble .. just for taking a peek under the girls dress's at school .... talk about PORN!!!!!
-
WEll, I personally watch porn all day.
Did you ever count how many freaking nekid puppets are on Sesame street? Elmo, big bird, oscar the grouch, snuffalupogus, bear, zoe, etc.....oh and then theres nekid Purple dinosaur Barnie, not only is he nekid, but he forces us to watch him DANCING in the nude. Teletubbies....nekid, the whole lot of them. Oh the horror. Yeah, I admit it. I think it kind of turns me on. -
I guess the first movie (well cartoon) that I saw that was X-rated, was Fritz the Cat...My that was so long ago. Now all you have to do is watch late night porn on any movie channel. Great write though. :)
-
hahaha DEE this kicks ass. i was laughing all the way through. hahaha YES x rated cartoons is the bomb LOL you should try some of them LOL imagination and sex ahahhahaha. great job... LOVED IT
-
LOL... I just came to read it again and saw Pappy's comments... too damn funny!!!
-
Thanks everyone, I appreciate your comments... now granpappy, you be good....or not...: )
-
Oh yes! there is something to be said for leaving a little to the imagination.
-
good point here
-
i loved this poem =)
-
and i ain't talkin about making a MOVIE, either
-
I'd much rather be making one with someone i care for than watching one.
good one catz -
LOL I'm laughing my arse off... I only have the TV for the kids.... I find I LOVE cartoons... but even those are iffy. Some of them are just as violent as adult shows....sheesh.
-
Thanks, Jenn. haha... I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't watch tv. For four years my tv sat in the corner of my rec room with the cord draped over the top...til one time relatives came to visit and moved it to the living room... I tried watching it with them and immediatly fell asleep, now it's in it's normal place..in the corner of the rec room with the cord draped over the top... I didn't even know we had a gulf war going on until some one mentioned it at work... I said..what gulf war.. two weeks after it had started...
-
I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way... I don't bother even turning on my TV anymore... I once went four years without watching it.... I get disgusted... the world could end and I'd be sitting at this computer...hehe. Okay, maybe I'm a little extremist....
Catz....I loved it!!!!
