His Fragile Psyche

Solemn vows through hands held tight
A virginal glow she bore that night
Promises made bear wings; take flight
Reach toward her and walk into the light

Two words: "I Do" bring fresh tears to her eyes
Two words:"Good Bye" after years of his lies
Three words: "I love you" inside delicate sighs
Three words: "I HATE YOU" she hurtfully cries

A gesture of pride with a gesture of spite
Those mean, angry words with a measure of fright
That feeling of loneliness, something's not right
Her sweet body suffering, the rope binds her tight

Droplets of blood spattered across the wall
Her delicate pulse is beginning to fall
Her beautiful corpse now hanging in the hall
His quite fragile psyche has snapped after all

He cuts her away from her noose with a knife
Leaning over her body he cries for her life
Shaking in the hallway, wading through the strife
He had started off loving, then killing his wife

Staring down the alleyway, wondering through the mire
Holding her for one last time, he starts her corpse on fire
He remembers nothing more now, his situation dire
And sits amongst the ruin at his beloved's funeral pyre.
