Uncertain Twilight

Somewhere betwixt the time of night and day
when one is ending, the other at sway,
a moment's hesitation left or right
so often recalled in the soft twilight.

Almost hidden behind a curtain hangs
shadows ready to reveal netherlands,
imaginings creep into sleepy mind
illusions are revealed, not left behind.

Strange voices whisper forth quaint, eerie sounds
heralding skywards trailing widows gowns,
dark cobwebs restrict, yet cannot prevent
the night's pungent organs effusive scent.

cosmic visions play aureolin tricks
enticing the mind so as to transfix,
uncertain thoughts from eyes seemingly blind
coaxing, deceiving,  false promise maligned.

From somewhere, nowhere, heaven only knows
the sky is shaken as night time bestows,
sparkling, magnificent cloak of the realm
having conquered the twilight, fears becalmed.

    Extreemly loud applause

This my dear friend is wonderful. How right you are Katie with this hauntingly beautiful write. Twilight is eerie I agree. you create images here that stand out in the mind. Twilight is a bad time for horses too, they get moonblindness between dusk and dark and can be quite spooky with it....Excellent. Mega hugs...mal
