In Here Eyes

In her eyes,
I was all she could see.
How could I hurt this Angel
and neglect to show her that if
she were not around, I couldn't be.
Those beautiful eyes that I knew oh-so well
turned to ice when we drifted apart.
I could tell it was my fault
and that I had broken her heart.
Another came into my life
and seemed to take me away.
I want her to know that it's her I'm thinking of
throughout my night and day.
I promise that I'll be there through it all,
being the one you always wanted
and stop all your tears
before they have a chance to fall.
Please forgive me for
not being the one i used to be.
