sometimes

sometimes I wish I were a color
  I would be so pretty
and I could change sadness into gladness
sometimes I wish I were a little bird
I could spread my wings and fly
soar to worlds unknown to the human eye
sometimes I think I might be absurd
these thoughts just keep poppin up in my head
it ain't my fault that my brains been overfed
sometimes I wish I were one of the found
I could be saved, you know
  I'm not that far gone
sometimes I wish I were a queen
by everyone I could be seen
I would be held to a high esteem
sometimes I wish I were a crown
I would be all glittering with gold
and for a high price I could be sold

Please tell me what you think

A different way of looking at it.. Must say that I really enjoyed this piece, though you could clean up your style a little bit.. Capitalize occasionally, stanzas.. Things like that.. Like I said, little things...

    Beautiful job

I truly admire the innovative and imaginative talent that I see busy at work here, flowing across the page in all its glory. Thank you for sharing and best wishes to you. Keep that pen handy dear poet. ~Midnight Lace

Sometimes we are just ourselves, yet wish to be so much more, to be someone else, to be somewhere else as well. Dreams do come true, so we can wish for things we do not have...
