the pavement a quiet dim
trees as black as night itself
I glance ahead this eerie road
the gaping darkness welcome my soul
feeling lost, hesitant
looked over my heavy shoulders
and I remember what lies ahead...
a collision with you changed my life
thought that was my purpose, my everything
I shouldn't have survived, but I did
I drag along my heavy heart
tortured for the past two years
but I know I'm now stronger
guess it's for the better, because...
I've only paid half of what i owe
what goes around comes back around
I've broken two hearts in the past
retribution has knocked on my door
I loved you with my everything, I still do
but to you that's not enough, I'm not enough for you
I'm bruised, I'm battered, I'm broken, I'm scared
but I still need to pick myself up and get over you
because I know I need to go through this pain
all over again, one more time
the pavement a quiet dim
trees as black as night itself
I glance ahead this eerie road
the gaping darkness welcome my soul
as I step forward without a second thought

Very sad.....I also believe in the saying....what comes around goes around.......even though it is tough to get through right now, there is light at the end of the tunnell........
Thank you for entering and best of luck in the contest.....
