I’m often inspired,
by the clouds in the sky or the grass on the ground.
But today, neither can be seen.
Climbing the iridescent chain of immortality,
it swivels & turns.
Unmentionable sadness caresses my mind,
almost lovingly.
And like the speeding lights
that some call cars,
I sit and wait, my fuel evaporating.
Killing the thin line separating mystery and solid ideas.
Communication between me and anything alive
has vanished, in it’s place
visions of black twirling angels suffocating a child’s ears
with such blissful mourning.
Take away my heart, for I no longer have need for its blood.
It has drained itself from my muse.

Nice...almost abstract. Very well-written. There's not much I don't like about this poem. Thank you and good luck.
