Come step over the edge with me
We’ll walk beyond what others claim as real
We’ll need the lamp of truth to illuminate our path
Forever facing forward, for there is no turning back
Oh what images this beacon shall reveal
When time no longer has it’s iron hold
And the only limit is our imagination
Shall we create a resting place for weary souls?
Feast up destiny and the misfortunes of fate
as our table and chairs dance to a rhythm of their own
beyond all that others say is right and what is darkness
we will not fall into hunger simply to survive
we will live in undying splendor feasting on the unknown together
Sundials and tick-tock clocks pass us even now
saying to us its time to sleep and put away reality
to live on dreams alone is a fools notion and should not be had
bring fantasy to life and it will change your own
find a peace of mind in simple terms and tender lies
for in each day a truth is told for every sigh we make.
A lie is believed for every sight our eyes behold
If we let the hours be the blinders they were intended to be
If ever a line were to be drawn
Let it scatter the sands of time
We’ll walk along this newly formed beach
Trying not to gaze too intently on this memory lane
As with all time and dreams which some call anti-time
temperamental realities crash and shatter a mirror of hope
but even broken glass is still glass and reflects brightly
so gather your scattered dreams and reform a hidden notion
to find a place where you can roam even if cut by life
bleed and smile in a crimson red as your dreams give and take
Wonder if a fate has fallen upon you and scream your heart
as aquarium dew forms on the undeniable fountain of youth
those dreams in which we drown each night and wake to breath anew
yet still I choose to dive into the swarming splash of nightly fantasy
and find myself in a place I wish was my future reality
The wool used to cloak the truth
Now left to clothe the backs of lambs
Another wave of distractions to deflect the weary,
Who continue their journey knowing…..
there are no greener pastures
But we are looking for blue ones anyway
