90 Degrees of Seperation

I tried to hate you
And hate is a strong word
You played with my heart
I messed with your head
I guess we're both to Blame

This is 90 degrees of Separation
Love that turned to hatred.

One day we're fighting
The next day we're hugging
This thing called love kept on changing

I see you now with your girl
I see the love I waited for
sometimes i thought it was me
I wasn't everything you needed

But i have grown

I'm not the little girl you use to know
I've changed i've grown
and learned that you need to let go

90 degrees of separation
It took some time but i'm finally free
I'm in a place i need to be
Promise me you'll do the same.

Author notes

This poem is about a lost love and self realization. Its when you think you love someone , but it only ends up in pain. I really belived that I was in love with this boy ,he just took my heart and shred it into pieces. I'll always remember how much pain it was because he was the first person i really can say i loved or at least i thought. hope u enjoy!

I like the idea behind this poem, of grown up, adult separation instead of teen bickering. The use of the title was very good as well.
