~* Freedom's Run *~

Trapped in the mundane,

handcuffed to reality's laws,

shackled to society's pitfalls,

spirit ~

               caged ~

                              paces within.

Mountainous winds call,

tree branches echo messages,

cries spill from enraged river rapids ,

transformation for escape begins.

Humdrum fabrics shed,

nature's wardrobe spawns;

two legs double to four,

feline captive emerges.

Thunderstruck primitive,

call of the wild,

true essence ~

                             unleashed.

Nose sniffs destination's path,

paw printed skid marks mar terrain,

powerhouse races top speed,

agility conquers uneven ground.

Elemental alliance attained,

totality of self takes hold;

beast's release ~

                                 freedom's run

    sigh ...
    breathing freedom ... or deciding to rest encaged int the prison of our own thoughts, beliefs and self-imposed restrictions ?
    exhaling the old ...
    inhaling the new ...
    filling the lungs with freshness, with the beauty of the unknown, walking the path that is right here in front of us ... instead of dreaming of a path that only exists in our nostalgic fantasy ... craziness of a weary mind ... now brought to silence ... slowly advancing in the beginning ... freedom is a new experience ... but with every step, the inner strength grows ... paths become more steady, more rapid ... until, after a deep breath has rassembled all the indwelling power and courage, the wild spirit inhabits its body fully and rediscovers the joy of running with breath-taking speed ...

    One would think of Surrealism whenever he or she is reading this, yet, in the same time, the soul can't help but get absorbed by these wondering spectrums called poetry.
