Short Scribley Satire

Tilt the wingback to the fire,
pull the hassock for your feet,
set the brewed tea on the butler,
throw the afghan er' your knees.

Nestle down in cozy comfort,
ignore the ticking of the clock,
take a sighed breath of relaxation,
find inspiration that you've sought.

Bound within these crumpled pages,
see the Poet's word come alive
Reading fables of the sages,
a designed world of the Scribe.

  ~~Suseann~~

What a beautiful write, suseann...it rolls nicely on the tongue as I read it. It is like rich choclate, easy on the mind and eyes..and the background you have chosen simply sets it in the gold frame this one would deserve....

You make rhyme look so easy not anyone can just rhyme that easy where it it seems like your ice-skating so smoothly. Can you ice-skate Suseann lol anyhow back to the poem this reflects to me about enjoying life and not having to rush things so much. ♥

Truthfully, was the rhyme too heavy in this piece? I think if it flows ok,it's alright. But if the meter isn't there. It's too much.
