The wolf and the moon

Ask the wolf
to stand his guard
To bay at the moon
in the sky

To woo the glow
to shine on bright
For without him
the moon is too shy

Protector of
the nighttime songs
The wolf asks
only one thing

To let him hear
the moon lullabies
From mid summer
until the next spring

One word: Beautiful. This is so inspiringly gorgeous! Is there someplace where I can read more on the relation of the wolf and moon in native american philosophy? You've captured my interest with this and I want to know more. Wonderful write with an amazingly poetic feel.

a very beautiful piece, very lyrical in it's flow and rhyme. You create wonderful images of a moonlit night and a lone wolf singing to the moon. Very enjoyable!
