I met my soul mate in the most unusual way.
It was on a playground on a playdate.
He was lanky and tall with eyes of blue.
I knew in my heart that our love was true.
He was seven and I was eight.
This you see was our very first date.
I stretched up on my tippy toes for our loves first kiss.
This is a moment in time that I could not miss.
I knew in my heart that he was the one for me.
That God had sent to me my destiny.

This is so cute, the innonence of young love brings back a memory of my first love we were both 6 and in first grade. He would bring me candy or a ring out of the quarter machine or cracker jackbox everyday. We were best friends until the 5th grade and had a difference of opinion and quit talking. Wonderful write with great imagery, I could just see the two as they shared their first kiss. A joy to read. Best wishes in the contest. Thanks for stirring up a childhood memory.
