The nights are growing long
They're coming out to play
They'll be here till dawn
All the while playing like little fawn
They'll play and feed all night
So you'd better stay inside
They don't care for men or women
But just to be safe, by the bed I'd keep a light
They won't stop till night turns to day
And even then it's a fight for survival
They'll rest till night falls again
But beware that they don't ask you to stay
Some are full of hate
and some just don't care
But either way it goes
Best hope you're not the bait
Fear not dear child, I'll keep you safe
There's nothing in this world that I can't do
We'll play all day and night
Then we'll see if there's anything new
That's what he told me
And after that night he tossed me aside
He'd found someone new, I guess I was just a tool
But someone else picked up on it and said "You're no key"
We've been together who know how long
And he plays with his food
And even after all this time
He never says he was wrong
