are feeling lonely and blue,
Just think of me at anytime and I will
then be with you.
When you feel there's no reason to smile
because happy times are few,
Just remember how I made you laugh with
all the silly things I would do.
I know you feel that you are alone, but
please do not fear.
I will guide you through your life and
I'll wipe away each tear.
Although you can not see me, I will always
be so very near.
I will ease your pain and sorrow and bring
back all the cheer.
Throughout all of our forty-six years,
I've loved you with all of my heart.
My love for you always continues to grow
even though we are apart.
You're my one and only love and this will
always be true.
Until we're able to meet again, just know,
I am still with you.

Lost
My father died in September of 1996 and I wrote this poem for my mother for Christmas that year.
Every Christmas my father asked me to shop for my mother for gifts from him. I didn't want this Christmas to be any different. I asked God to give me the words so that my father could talk to his wife one more time.
I bought an antique frame that had an oval opening at the top (that I put my father's picture in) and a square opening on the bottom (which I put the poem in).
It really turned out wonderful, but it was a very hard Christmas that year.

This poem is really special and sad. I can't even begin to imagine how hard that Christmas must have been for you and your mom. For myself, I have never had to spend a Christmas without one of my family members and I don't think I could do it. I really have to admire you for being able to do this for your mother. Many blessings

OOO MY GOODNESS
This was so tender and caring. I could feel the love and wonderful emotions in this poem. This is such a lovely poem and so sincere. The rhyme was great too. I enjoyed reading this a lot. I thank you for entering this into option 5 and I thank you for choosing my contest. Good luck to you for you've made the finalist list. Kassie. -

Aw man! I don;t know how I came to this poem but you wrote it beautifully! I'm not one for sappy (pardon my rudeness) but this was good. Kudos.

This brought a tear to my eye and a lump in my throat, you have penned this beautifully straight from the heart, I'm certain your father would be very proud of this work--it is woven in deep emotions and tied up with the love your mother and father shared. No---they never leave us and I know this to be true from personal experience. A truly beautiful piece of work. Excellent.
