" My Fathers Daughter"

These Tears will Fall just once,

With the deepest of sincerity,

So please understand why,

In all of its clarity.

You were in my life for what seems only a fragment of time,

Only till the age of seven could I call you mine.

You were my HERO undisguised,

I trusted all you ever said, as you looked in my child eyes.

I always thought the best of you

When people said bad things of you,

I would say "Its not true."

As time grew, so did a gap between us,

You drove me miles away, and said to me,

"with your Mother you must stay!"

With no further explanation,

You left, giving me a painful deprivation.

I ignored the pain,

When people asked of you,

I also hid the shame.

I often wondered why, to you I was not important enough,

Though I just kept going, making myself be tough.

As I matured in age and mind,

I began to move forward, leaving you behind,

Until I learned you had a family,

Then came that pain, this time a little stonger,

As I realized I still had love for you,

However, I have accepted our Father, Daughter relationship,

Has for long been through.

    very sad

thank you for sharing this sad and painfull memory with us,i wish i could tell you why this happened my love but all i can say is that maybe he was wrong, maybe he was foolish, maybe he was just not able to cope with parenthood at that particular time in his life,i think that he must have cared for you or he would not have taken you to your mom, maybe he had problems of his own,you may never know, but that does not mean you have to waste your life hating him.stepping out of your life may not have been the right thing but then maybe in his eyes it was good luck in the contest
