beautiful angel
banned from heaven
and even so
singing in the sun
songs of hope
singing through the icy sleeze
with an exclamation
in your heart
mea culpa
mea culpa
mea maxima culpa
sleepless angel
banned from the world
you still think
there is a mission for you
I find no fault
you're my guardian
angel
let my heart
be a pillow for you
Please tell me what you think

A delicately beautiful piece of poetry. I love "singing through the icy sleeze / with an exclamation / in your heart." You've described a sad scene, yet one where love is still alive. I like the line breaks.

thanks
somehow my homepage does not give me warning of comments lately. So I had not even seen these. Thanks for your comments. Well the poem was about/for a friend who is prone to find fault with himself. Hence the Mea Culpa. But yeh when someone else reads your things you sometimes see where the little bumps are. -
Icy sleaze...that's a different visual. Tender ending, not sure how the angel singing "my fault" is a song of hope though the rest of the poem feels more uplifting.
