Waiting

Appassionatas and sonatas:
slowly stringing their soft melodies
      slowly, slowly
as if:
quenching time's thirst
for Patience's grand entrance

She sat:
crossed legs and a tilted head
a trail of minims and crotchets
    dangling so fast -
the 20 minute psychological marathon
ah, how she yearns his embraces
  yet, time
torturing her with his speediness
gradually
        eroding her wait

The clicking heels went to a stop
Appassionata in her calando -
soothing, soothing
like the child in Madonna's arms
calming, calming
  her burning desires
to beams of hope

'oh he will come, it's just another rush hour
or a traffic jam in the city's maze'

Flashing newspapers devour:
another realm within reality!
My moonlit sonata, tuning into a perdeno
anxiety fading, stress decading
'perhaps, it's just lateness after all'
her sotto voce whispered,
a sudden bombing,
          rushed
into her mind's urge -
current affairs exploding!
(and he vanishing)

She reads on: terrorists duet and car crush trio
Morendo!
Melacholic chaos
eating - into the subconscious of Waiting
attacking the precious snuffbox of emotions
'the universe seem catastrophic after all'
(maybe, his embrace is a nothing that special...'

Footsteps ruffling, and steering stilettos running:
tip, tack, tip, tack
Crescendo - Appassionata strikes!
A vivacious victory!
His leather shoes and her heels
his trenchcoat and her BCBG Maxaria
reuniting, reuniting
love at her goodness to the core

Her surge of kisses,
his tender hugs: the merging of lovers
Love conquers all,
as my sonata comes to a close - with her al niente

Waiting
