Bitten by the Cold

The difference between snow and rain?
Not much. Just temperature.
As seasons change and the weather
turns bad, a beautiful spring mist can erupt
into a ghastly blizzard. As the rain
falls
it is transformed by the
freezing temperatures; and turned to snow. The nights
drudge on, yet the storm
has not given way to a single
ray of light in its constant battle for
power.

Summer has come, yet somehow
the snow still falls.
The weather is changing, bestowing
upon the frostbitten ground
a sense of hope and nourishment; however
the snow still falls.

Birds flying home to the lush
green trees- somehow still covered
in a layer of powered sugar; for
the snow still falls.
No matter the season, no matter the temperature;
the snow still falls.

The snow still falls all across the globe
and covers the most innocent and
beautiful
creations known to mankind.

Though the snow still falls and falls
upon the barren and deserted
ground, you still remain with only
a red rose to keep you warm. You stand and wait
there in the field of sunflowers
crushed and beaten down from the cruel
and unforgiving weather. You still stand
and wait
for the chance that she may walk by
and see you standing naked
holding onto only your love for her. Back
in the depths of your mind you vex and
fret
that she will love you back.

The frost begins to bit you and
send thoughts of rejection down your
spin
and into your heart. You know you can’t
leave.
And you won’t. Somehow you know
in the back of your cluttered mind
that she will love you.

Now hardly able to stand, you
sway
and turn as you begin to fall; just
as the snow has relentlessly
showed you to do. Now
you are falling and falling and
falling,
loosing grip of your wilted and forsaken
rose.
Your heart sinks as you know this is the
end.
And you fall.

Right before your mind goes blank
and you give up the only reason
you have to
live,
you begin to miraculously rise from your
sleep and as you open your crystal
eyes
you see a figure of pale tan, dripping with
red.
And there, standing just as naked as you
is a girl with a posy of red roses and
sunflowers.

And just like that, the temperature
changes
and the sun beats down on you field and
melts all the snow.

And just like that, the temperature
changes.

I likes it a lot!!!!!! In case you didn't mean for some typos, 'biten' is actually 'bitten'
