Wolfpack

They gathered on the hill
Clouds dark, threatening
There was no fear
Only the fresh taste of victory

Author notes

This is a picture of my granddaughter's softball team. She is the one kneeling in the middle with the softball bat. I just loved this picture, the poem is just extra.. lol

I will always miss playing the game.. and that taste of victory at the end..
that photo is what baseball/softball is all about and so is the poem.
    They go perfectly together.

    I hope you're well..
It's been a long time... but I've never stopped caring about that

Your granddaughter is lovely. You should cut out the poem is just extra bit in your authors comments because if it is your writing, then it is important. Even if it does feel just added on. The poem is simple and too the point and I like that post-it note quality. Sometimes you just have to say what needs to be said and call it done.

I love this poem, and the wonderful accompanying picture... Very... warlike, I must say... adorable, and emotion filled.

    Awesome !!

What awonderful poem and picture. I'm not big into sports but I love watching the kids play ball. Between my own children when they were young and my grandkids, I've seen a lot of games, all remarkable in one way or another.
I enjoyed this very much, Becky

The guy top left hand corner looks fearsome! You would not want to get into a hamburger eating contest with him! Barty is terrified!

What a fantastic memory for your granddaughter to draw on as she journeys through life. I pray she embraces many victories along the way and just enough struggles to enjoy those mountaintop moments. You have such a blessing on the hill there. I know I don't have to tell you that but now I can speak from experience as opposed to imagination. Love you Lady!

    WooHoo!

Oh my, that pic is just awesome! What a fabulous shot.. looming clouds and all, lol

No wonder it inspired that perfect poem caption. There's a name for poems describing/complementing a picture.. but I can't think right now

They do look invincible, don't they!

    awesome

This is really good even if it's short. It's really good and says so much in only four lines. I really like it, awesome job.
