i never shared my feelings with you;
until it was far too late.
Forgive me for all the hurt
i bestowed upon you;
i never wanted this twist of fate.
Forgive me for all the tears
You shed for my absence;
I opened up a sorrowful gate.
Forgive me for the days;
i watched your futile attempts;
as you stood in the chilling rain to wait.
Forgive me for the pain
i constantly put you through
on those long cold, lonely nights.
Forgive me for the accusations
I threw in your face;
I never meant to start these fights.
Forgive me for the everlasting wounds
I inflicted on your heart
i know it wasn't right.
Forgive me for blocking out
all the glimmers of hope we shared;
I now see the light.
Author notes
i was inspired to write this poem through many different experiences i've gone through, but mostly from some wise words spoken to me from a dear friend; she said that unless you go back and make amends for things you feel guilty about from the past you can't feel happy about the things in the future. so this poem was asort of cleansing poem, to rid me of everything i did in the past.

Very heart-felt poem here.
"Forgive me for all the times
i never shared my feelings with you;
until it was far too late"
I can really relate to this!
This write flowed very nicely, i like how it was almost like a letter you'd give to somebody ya know? Good luck and thanks for entering! -
this is very similar to a poem i wrote called apologies...yours is much more sophisticated lol...but its a very similar theme...strikes a chord with me

I was inspired to write this poem through a lot of different experiences, but mostly from wut someone close 2 me said; they told me that unless you go back and say ur sorry for the things you've done in the past, you can never really move on and be fully healed.

How do you make these poems that don't seem to have anything to do with your life? Its amazing and powerful. I love it.
