My Poetry

Emotions running through your veins
Of things you keep bottled up inside of you
All the things that you never knew
Taking it out on paper and pen

Letting all the emotions sink in
I'm in my element
When I'm writing I won't be judged
The words bleeding from my pen

Starting with words, letters and lines
Ends with my signature and date
Emotions of all different kinds
Flowing upon the lines

Of hate
Of happiness
Of love

My words, these words
Expressing all sides of me
Three way mirrors
My own reflections of inside of me

Through my poetry
You'll slowly get to know me
From the woman within
From the lost little girl
To the sultry siren in the erotic poetry

Through these words
I'm tearing pieces of my heart
Scatting them throughout my paper
My poetry, My soul

Author notes

I ended up finding this poem I had started on a month ago and I decided to add a few more stanzas and to post this piece today. Unchained Angel and I came up with the first stanza together.

a very good description of what almost all (real) poets want to truly express through their poetry, and, should i say so myself, our everyday lives. The movement of the poem seems so clear and well defined, as well as the main idea of which you try to present to the reader. Thank you for entering!

I often find myself with pen in hand and don't realize how it got there. I have so many random pieces of paper with notes, snippets and lines of poems... I know that when I am having a bad day, a good day or even a mediocre day I will have something to say about it that could possibly be turned into a poem at some point. It's the easiest way to express myself... I see you feel the same way.
