Odyssey of Reality

Loneliness frightened

 me previously,
but the time passed,
and taught me -
SOLITUDE is the best state,
when you can know yourself
closely and personally.

Some external forces

always ensure
you stall in the

course of life,
but there are others
who are always ready,
to cuddle you, give you

everything to savour,

Someone asked me once,
dont you have friends?
He may not know

my friends are invisible.
They love, like and guide me
to transcend every obstacle.

Loneliness, self-esteem and will power
are the friends of mine

which elude everything negative
to set me on an ODYSSEY
of reality and serenity

of soul and mind

Please tell me what you think

A great thought behind the poem. Most people realise that social activity alone is healthy activity, where as it is not in reality.Though lonliness is not strength, alonenes is definitely a strength, as you say and mentioned some of your words...Good write

    One more lovely piece Tarun...

This poem takes me back to Pope's 'Know than thyself'!
Happy to see such a retrospective poet in you tarun...
Lines 8-10 are my favorites- they talk to me about 'Who is Tarun"
Glad to know about your invisible friends my dear friend...
This visible friend-like sister is here to extend a great hand to give more touch of reality....
On the Odyssey of reality.... A chance to understand "who am I"!
    Great write,
    good read!
    Love
