Despite the pacts and
The friends that we've all made
There is but one certainty,
In the end, everything fades...
This is it, the last hoorah,
From here on out, there
There are no returns
The division bell rings...
Where are the sacred ones
Who once gathered together
In perpetual unity?
Where are the friends
That you used to know?
All now silent, shrunken
And solemnly sullen
Faces, vacant and all
Together uninviting
Strangers adorn
Familiar eyes
And through strange hours
You linger alone
No eternal atonement
Will forgive you for
Wasting lifes few
Fleeting moments
I can't live through
The slow anguish of
Your musings...
Run now into the
Arms of your saviour,
You may never get
Another chance again...
(Everything fades)
...and then there were none
What it was and what it is
Should have never been,
For the life in me,
I don't know what
You ever saw in me.
Lovers come, lovers go,
Leave me as just a passing thought
I'm the one love will never know,
I'm the one that love forgot
I've tried,
Oh God how I've tried,
Time and time again
But I've failed my friends,
My lovers, my family
Love can never become of me
If you ever loved me at all
You would do us both by right
If you just let this one fall...
(Everything fades)
The night is calm cool and clear
There will be much blood shed in here...
If you knew what was best for you
You will do what cowards do
You will flee far from here
Find some place and disappear
...And in walked the maiden of joy
Soft and slow, sleek and seductive...
...She was on him in an instant
Manic murder, seething with rage
Blind like the fury of madness,
Lusting for blood with a war to rage
Crimson runs a
Rapid rivers flow
Deep and surging with pride
Evening celebrates
The joy it can not hide
Someone dies, one man cries,
The innocent must be tried...
Despite the friends
And pacts we’ve all made
There is but one certainty
In the end, everything fades
Please tell me what you think

i could hear some Pink Floyd in the background... followed by memories dusted off, bitterness swallowed. there are some poems you can just sink into, like quicksand - and this is one for me. like a sad, familiar song i could almost sing the words - i like that. lonesome, i can relate. you have a certain way with words - i admire that. great piece!

i could just hug you
i'm enthralled that i could write something, that you could sink into.
this write is every lonesome, and in that lonesomeness, we can relate. perhaps with a few people like yourself, and myself, the world is a little less lonesome.
thanks for reading and giving some comments that leave me beaming with pride.
by the way, i like your picture that you put up a few days ago...i can finally put a face to whom i'm speaking with.
tonnes of love

i'm not too sure, anyone will really follow what i have written here. this was actually three pieces that i strung together. initially i had seperated them into three parts, but like my earlier works it went unread.
