the darkness, the fear, inside me
of what will come next
this feeling of dread, this hateful lament
i see the truth behind the eyes in the mirror
i know i am to late to stop it
who i was is gone, left is the shell
the problems avoided,the lies told
have come to haunt me
my end is past, myself is no more
left is the hollow image
i hate the man in the reflective glass
he is deserving of only pity and disgust
i mourn the death of myself
the darkness is here.

Excellent write- I just happened upon this one and I'm well pleased I did...a really good and dark write about self-hatred. Always good to write about the psyche...it is very carthartic.
