Muse's Inspiration

Missing image
My Muse does converse with me again
She has answered my prayers & delivered the ink
Ignited and fanned the flame another soul has lit
Liberated the pages held hostage in my brain
She lays the guise within my poetic realm
Bringing to life the words held back from pain
Resurrecting those dead to speak through my pen
Restoring this poet's power, to weild her sword again

What a glorious day it was when I viewed my Muse
Her persona enveloped my soul and held it close
She did lay her kiss within my womb so easily

The heavens open revealing those emotional clouds
Dispensing their contents, falling upon my pages
Breathing life into lost words forgotten in the cells
Shedding the skin and renewing its glittering lustre
She retrieves all souls and milks their energies
Bequeathing on me their effervescent spirit
Guiding my hands to align wandering forsaken thoughts
My eyes once more granted access to society's tissue

My Muse holds me in her sweet poetic embrace
Allows me to taste her flavored juices and savor
Each scent effused, life emitting seed to efface

My book fills with ink and does there effortlessly build
Each poem in a form yielding to her creative will
Their depth, the sweet abyss which eludes all fools
Her reappearance brings a visit from dedicated sisters
Their cistern fluids adding to my souls outpouring
Tears mixed with laughter heed their prized words
Rebirthed, inked out on paper sharing the despair
Spreading the cheer of love renewed by my Muse

    Skilled Writing

My only criticism would be the use of an ampersand in your second line.  You are such a skilled writer I can only assume you have a reason for using it. I'd like to know.

    beautiful, breath-taking

I love this feeling... when after a painfully prolonged period of lackluster inspiration, suddenly you get a streak of pure creativity - it's so amazing. You feel more alive, more aware, more beautiful than ever.
You have a way with lacing words together so that they flow into waterfall-like lines.
I also really enjoyed your vocabulary choices.
    Amazing... and yes, inspiring!

Left me wanting more. I truely strive to one day create on this level. You may end up vicariously, unofficially becoming my mentor from afar.. Thank you for this special work of art. Chrissy

Well this is certainly a wonderful tribute to our sometimes fickle artistic guides. I know we are all glad that our muse decided to wake up again that you can share your wonderful works with us all. I will suggest a brief spelling check ( no this is not the american/english thing I promise hehe)Best of luck in this and all of your endeavors. Hetohke'e *

Do you reckon your muse can give mine a kick to wake up!!! Cos I am sick of trying.

I hear you on this one, sometimes it can be so frustrating having to wait. Mind, yours has come back with avengence and totally kicked ass. Excellent piece.
