Once Upon,
in a confused time,
lived a dear Prince
and a Princess fair.
Betrothed from birth.
A match well arranged-
Princess was besotted,
dear Prince was fond.
Wedding bells were set to chime.
Alas, fondness was not
strong enough; not
when faced with Witch,
who was known to dear Prince as
flitting through Prince's past
childhood memories.
Unbeknownst to all involved,
Witch arrived into the Kingdom.
Tragically for Princess,
she was cruel beauty beyond compare.
Her wiles spellbound dear Prince.
And so entranced, he doth took his blade,
to sever Princess' ties.
And doth took his steed,
bearing Witch off into the horizon.
Witch led them on a gallop,
many nights through foreign lands;
bearing dear Prince off to her lair,
having her wicked ways with him.
Dear Prince was so enchanted,
his heart, and sweet affections
towards those he truly loved,
were drawn away.
He was falling headfirst into evil,
and loving every inch of her.
But Prince was not dear Prince
for nothing. He was strong.
Overtime, he fought off the infatuations
and he could see clearly through the haze.
Poison on his lips,
passed to, and only swallowed by Witch,
he so escaped her tower.
Riding hard, day and night,
through deserts wide,
dear Prince fought many a beast,
killing them all.
All, save his unquenchable thirst.
Thirst for his sweet, Princess dear,
so heartlessly thrust aside.
Thirst for the livegiving water.
And so it was that dear Prince perished,
unable to quench his thirsts,
and able only to mourn his mistakes.
And so bitterly ends,
our tagic tale.

perhaps, but his beloved Princess is falling in love with Knight in Shining Armor, so Prince would have made his flight for nothing. I thought it better to have him die in trying rather than find his love in the arms of another. no matter how justified she is in doing so...
but yeah. maybe i will write some happy ending fairytale poems..
