The copper smell
Is a poem to me
Ah! How I adore poetry!
Scarlet rivers
Are a way of life
A life so beautiful
A life so false
All of me bleeds
Heart, body, and soul
Everyone cries
They are weak
Blood is the true life
Not some fucking "heart"
The only thing a heart is good for
Is a delicious feasting
They call me evil
And so I am
But I am getting what I desire
I am a power!
I am Wamphryi!

this is hiarious on so many levels... just because its blatently true, and 'in-your-face' in its appearence... i love it how you made the feeling of the poem go one way, and then used that to thrust yourself further in the opposite direction... eg: Everyone cries

Oh be still my beating heart! I love that you know who this lady is! This is a very strongly worded poem . . . and the shortness of the lines really enhances that. I think that with a little revision this could be a truly great poem.
