A gauzy, veil of mist
blankets the air,
From deep within a forest
emerges a goddess-like figure...
As shining winter fairies come floating down,
Shimmering in the brilliance of moonlight.
The goddess-like figure appears,
A striking, young beauty
Expressed alongside snow pixies
falling from the sky.
Smoke gray eyes dancing with interest.
Hair like woven blankets of snow
Pale as the moonlight,
Soft as the finest silk.
Sparkling silver gems fall from her ears,
Catching the light,
Of a million candlelights,
From an open window in the night.
Wintery white cloth falls over her.
A mantle of pure mystery.
Her elegant fingers arch,
Over a glass, globe
Forged of pure, crystal.
It glows with uncontained magic.
Miniature globes of snow,
Raining down into a world.
Windows to a soul,
Another land that sees,
Into each season,
Knowing any soul's reason.
Looking into a world of lifetimes.
Gradually a faint sound,
Drifts into the globe
Softly Winter chimes,
Drawing each spirit to an end.
Flowering beauties submit
To its call.
Creatures arch their heads,
Resting in sleepy hollows.
Drifting people,
Rouse from lazy, summers
And fall in rhythm
Igniting the restless spirit
Of ravenous, Fire.
The power of the Winter hour,
Calls to the world,
The traveling gypsy
Has told her tale.
From deep within a forest
vanishes a goddess-like figure...

Expressive
You have a flair for description and vivid details. This is a beautiful fantasy piece. I love the winter and snow, and you have made it sound all magical and mistical
I believe I like "Smoke gray eyes dancing with interest." the best, it makes me feel like I know the lovely Goddess. The last line is great too, she leaves as mysteriously as she first appeared. Best wishes in the contest!
