Recipe for Happiness

Just a tinge of jubilance,
And then a dash of sunshine,
Mix your happy thoughts together,
And your day will be benign.

Add your human soul in slowly,
To accomplish felicity,
A cup of kindness does belong,
In this recipe.

Blend your love in gently,
Not to slowly; not to quick,
Allow to refirgerate overnight,
And that should do the trick.

But before you go to bed,
Take the stars out from the sky,
Just add them in the morning,
And never shall you cry.

Don't use the recipe all at once,
For it is meant to last,
Perserve it and cherish it,
It's happiness- and life's too fast.

Such a wonderful poem, very up-beat and cheerfully inspiring. This is the sort of read to look for before the start of the new year that is coming soon to have an optimistic outlook on the months ahead. s and best wishes ~Genie~

    Breathtaking

You have a wonderful attitude on life and it shows in your writing. You added some especially nice touches like the stars. I think the last stanza is my favorite, because it is so wise and true. The last line "It's happiness - and life's too fast." well, that's the part that takes my breath away. I'll have to bookmark this one. Best wishes, Poet!

Thanks a whole bunch. Life is too fast, and I think these types of poems are good with the new year. Not to look at 2006, but look at 2007. Thanks a lot for commenting.
