Resolutions not to make
So here we are again and guess what?
It’s time to make some resolutions.
How not to sit on a cactus like a clot!
It hurts, trust me that’s my conclusion.
And never put eye drops in when it’s dark
especially when it’s ear drops-Crikey!
I did! My friends they thought it was a lark
believe me when I say it’s very dicey.
I say I’m not going to make new ones
as they never last long as you all know,
so now I add the ones on here for fun
all that I wrote it did happen though.

Great fun, this. you kept it short and light enough for us to laugh with you at a couple of misfortunes last year. Good idea to make sure not to do either of them this year.

That is a great idea to go with NOT doing what we did lat year...but wait..my alst year was awesome..I bet remember what I resolved so I can have it again.

Geeze, I remember the day you were here and you fell on one of Bob's cactus, didn't we have fun getting the spikes out of you? And you used ear drops for your eyes? OHHH dear I bet your eyes were blurry for awhile. Good luck in the contest.

I know what you mean when you speak of dicey things...Ihave pulled a few stupid ones in my life too and I did the eye drop thing but it was an essential oil...yep...a bit dicey it was...Have a good 2007 and good luck in the contest...

I think your resolution not to sit on cactus is very sensible (unless you are wearing leather knickers!)
My resolution not to sit in snow or on icebergs has saved me a lot of discomfort, believe me!
I also commend your decision to turn the lights on when applying eye or ear drops. (I have resolved not to eat icecream in the dark for much the same reason!)
I think your positive attitude will see you well through 2007 and wish you the very best in your new home in Sydney.

Never again
Don't worry Hugh I've no intentions of a repeat performance, I can blame Bob for that, Joan told him not to put cactus in the garden, but would he listen? NO! He says they survive the drought we're having! But I had to slip and fall right on my butt into one.

P.P.S: I just spilled a sticky protein drink while reading poems in the dark. I'm now sitting on a towel after having spent a great deal of time cleaning up the mess I made. Can you see the irony here? I wish I had taken my own advice. I feel so clotish!
