A Living Poem

New cuts, curls and gleam.
Breath blown sax, soft hair
a musical breeze.

Mother, a beauty rare.
Professing his love of thee.
A rocking heart full of poetry.

Between Mother Muse, musical host,
and poet, a book.
"All The Scents Of Summer"
is written for the love of she.

"Mother Muse of Music"

New cuts, curls and gleam.
Two beautiful girls in a poetic
eyes life, yes their poets life.

      A rocking heart of poetry...

    excellent expression

Your first stanza really draws the reader in. All 3 lines are amazing. The hair, the sax, the breeze...all very creative images and thoughts.

Haven't read any of yours for a while so I thought I'd treat myself, and I'm so glad I did. I loved the imagery and metaphor you use in this, anything connected with music is always going to impress and I did like the way you achieved cohesion here with the opening and penultimate stanzas. The mood in this is just (and I hate to use this word because I only use it to describe himself normally) beautiful! Thanks for sharing, must read more of you again regularly. Cheers.

a good piece here, just one section that needs slight attention - poets life should be poet's life as life is belonging to their poet, you. i gather this is your book then.

I reeeeeeallllly like this one! I also like how everytime I read something of yours, there's a difference in the flow or rhyme scheme, but they all are so good! Sorry I haven't commented for a while...I get lazy about commenting. I have read some though, and kudos on all

    good work!

p.s. a rocking heart of poetry would make a good title for a poem.. don't you think?

Perhaps I will try this in a song. I have 3 accidental songs I wrote as poems that I sing now. In the woods where nobody can laugh at me but the chipmonks.
