your greatest poet home?
Lionslove, that was him.
No truer poet lived,
than my true, good friend Tim.
Why, Lord, have you taken
him away from us all?
He had such magic words.
His poems were so real,
they flew like feathered birds.
Why, Lord, have you taken
the one that we all loved?
His poetry was great.
When he had something new,
we read it without wait.
Why, Lord, have you taken
Tim to your very side?
You knew just what to do.
It was the simplest reason,
you loved his poems too.

Thanks Tory!
Sorry I missed this comment so long. Tim was a good friend through AP, and set a deep impression in our hearts. He will be missed, all that remains is wonderful comments and his magnificent poems, and an empty feeling in the corner of the heart he filled. With this poem, I did not care if I won gold or anything else, I just had to do this for the contest held in Tim's memory... Thanks for the comment, and thanks for the applause.

Monchielle is a lovely name for a lovely style of poetry. The poem is tender and from the heart.

-
-
Monchielle
is combined from Monchi, the petname of my wife, Monica, and -elle, the last part of forms like Kyrielle, which repeats parts of the poem. Thank you for your comment, and your heartwarming applauses, it really means a lot to me!

A Heartwrenching Tribute!!!!!!!
Jim, This is such a beautiful and heartwrenching tribute you have done for Tim. I just saw that contest when I commented on another entry that went into it. Your creative style in using the form that you developed is magnanimous and I commend you for the loving caring way in which you showed your feelings. You are a dear sweet brother and I was blessed the day we met here on AP. Thank you for sharing the gift of your pen with all of us and keep that golden ink flowing. You most definitely receive a standing ovation from me to go along with my applause. Love and God bless you, Monica and Ole. Hugs from your sis, Joyce

Thank you, sis,
from the bottom of my heart! I just started writing, and the poem came out in the Monchielle form, it only seemed right to finish it as one.
I also cherish the day we met here on AP, and I wish we can develop a friendship which is stonger, and grows out of the boundries of electronic communication...
As long as my brain and fingers work, I will keep on writing poetry, and that will be for a LONG time.
Thanks a million times for the wonderful comment, the heartwarming applauses, and the standing ovation.
Hugs to you and your husband, God bless you both! Love from your brother, Jim

I wish I had known Tim better. While he was alive, I only knew him as Lionslove. I never asked him, and he never told me.

Jim, I am so thankful to read this beautifully expressed poem for Tim, he is so, so missed...and a very a special angel now. I am personally finding it difficult to accept that he's gone, your last stanza has brought me more tears...

You know,
I think he was an angel long before he was taken to heaven. I had difficulties believing it myself in the beginning, and it took time before it really sank in, and I could write this to him. Sorry for bringing you more tears, though thank you for the comment, and the applauses.
He is with God now...
