If ever there was a blue monkey
more lifely and spunky,
than the monkey named Jim,
I do not know him.
Jim likes to swim,
and run about on a whim.
He often goes out on a limb
for his friend Kim.
Jim is fun and loves to run,
he often has a lot of fun.
Jim is the only blue monkey I know
that does not mind the snow.
If you want to befriend Jim,
just look for him.
He likes to hide under the table,
or sometimes he prefers the stable.
Just look for my friend Jim,
I am sure you will eventually find him,
if your imagination is big enough,
he might appear in a puff
of smoke
and start a joke.

Heh, I'm sixteen and still have imaginary friends. Not a monkey, but I still rather relate. Sort of. *told too much*
Anyway, I liked the poem. It's care-free and entertaining, and a good reminder that not everything needs to be serious. My only criticism is with the first line: "If ever there was a blue monkey." "Was" really should be "were," since it's a subjunctive. It's petty, I know, but I'm highly sensitive to these types of things.
