Dear me,
I know it's been so long
Since we've sat and talked,
But now you're ready to hear
What you no longer have to fear.
I know you've been upset
And I know you've been depressed.
I know you've thought of suicide
And thought it'd be better if you died.
I know you've been so dazed
And your thoughts have become crazed,
But now I know you see
What you're able to be.
I know, to you, who's doing this
As you scream in silent bliss.
I know he's made you cry
From the happiness you can't deny.
Things are looking up for you.
You're feeling real, you're feeling true.
You're believing again
And not playing pretend.
On your face there's a smile.
Absolutely no denial.
Finally you can feel,
Not the fake, but only real.
Dear me,
Now you know there's no fairytale.
No need to hide behind your veil.
You've finally found the light.
It's no longer out of sight.
