Ever advancing capitalist
you industrialize the earth
with an unquenchable thirst for technological advance,
yet all this time blinded by scientific prosperity
just now has your sight turned green.
When voices begin to fade
you start yearning for sound.
When the final petals are about to leave the rose
you long to preserve its beauty.
As all is turning pale
you appreciate the enchantment of color.
Yes, as the sun is about to wreak havoc
for years of negligence towards nature’s health
and the oceans threaten to wash away the land
then you strive to correct nature’s imbalance.
Still, your vision has always been green,
with economic prosperity clogging your sight
for the toxic waste polluting mother earth…
may your sight turnover a new leaf.

This is an idea that came to me a while back, but I just recently finished it.

This is nice! It did confuse me at first, but I re-read it and understood your message and correlations about acting to late and the actual "seeing of green" as fiscal and financial.
Good work!
Thanks for the submission!
