If you see a child beaten and brused
Don't just turn and walk away
For a child is in desperate need of you
You never know, this could be her final day
Help me help our children be safe
Join me in my mission to save a childs life
Too many children die in the abusers hands
They may never have kids, or be a husband or wife
It's time for us to stand up for whats right
Don't turn away, embrace this child today
By getting them the help that they so need
If you don't, it's the child that must pay
Imagine that child is your own flesh and blood
Would you just walk away, leaving them for dead
It's up to us all to help these children live
Or will you just walk away, and forget instead
Help me fight for these children
For they depend on us all

I did not write this as an entry for this contest. I wrote this trying to reach out to everyone and get help in my mission to stop the child abuse. Thank you all for reading.. and May God help us save our children from abuse.

Excellent poem, so many children live through their own private hell everyday. All they need is someone to give them a little help. Child abusers are the lowest of the low.

Thank you for your comment, I didn't enter this contest to get a trophy or points. The best prize that I could get out of this write is to know that some where I have helped someone. There are so many people, not just children, that are abused everyday. Thank you for taking the time to read my write. I hate it with a passion
Child abusers and killers have to be the lowest humans on the face of God's earth...even since I was a child I would look on abuse of other children as disgusting..as something that "had" to be fixed before the world could go around once more....I literally get sick when I hear of the things that happen to the babies and the toddlers and the teenagers...for heavens sake leave the innocense alone!...If you want to damgage something go damage the person in the mirror and leave our precious gifs from above alone....great write

Tammy, you lead a wonderful and inspiring mission in life! Child abuse is such a terrible and horrid thing. It's great to see that someone actually cares enough to stand up for children all over the world. I really enjoyed reading this and thank you for sharing it.
