Sizzled Spill of Yesterday

Sanguine streams across a promised dream,
searing off the bleakness in new horizons.
In faith's pledge of sureties brightest gleam,
an affirmation in spiritual warm defying.

Tomorrow no longer held in an icy grip,
escaped captive of pain's faithless lament.
Broken loose from it's lifeless cold shell,
floating weightless from imprisonments dwell.

Ice flows melt in a sizzled promise of tomorrow,
disillusions flow away in waves of banished sorrow.

such beautiful imagery here....I, too, beleive that release is like slow wnow melting.....and when it is melted..there is green, glorious green and new beginnings...beautifully done, my friend.

This is a nice write, I would have preferred that you didn't sign it at the bottom as the rules state, but thanks for entering

I like the way this poem uses fire and anger in a positive way - against the gloom and sorrow. Bravo!
