Always wanting your way
Never willing to compromise
You're not at all what you say
I can see it in your eyes
I know things they don't know
And I see things they can't see
I know what you're about
Because you're kind of just like me
Nothing goes your way
It just never seems to work out
Say that things will change
But never let go of the doubts
You no longer wish to live
But not ready yet to die
So tired of simply existing
You long to feel alive
Letting them control you
Your actions and your words
You need to practice self control
Realize your self worth
Shut up you don't know
Can't say that it's for sure
I'm a side of you
So how can you be pure?
Use them before they use you
Pretend the wounds have all been healed
It's a sick sad world
Kill before you're killed
Money talks and does it loudly
Do what you have to do
Survival is a way of life
All you have is you
You are always being selfish
Take time to think of someone else
How can you spend all your life
Just feeling sorry for yourself?
It's your job to take care of things
That's why you were brought into this world
Got to hold it all together
Even if it means playing the fool
You know that you're okay
Or at least somehow you'll manage
Don't look at all you've lost
Look at all you took for granted
The level of insanity
Has gone up another notch
The three sides of me are fighting
And all I can do is watch

Excellent!
You have a real talent in speaking your mind and heart in poetry. I have gone through a part of life when I was younger, when life was miserable for me. I have found, that in pursuing God and in giving to others what I can, I can find much more joy then when I was doing as the world directs and just seeking to serve myself.In giving love, we receive so much more in return.I am talking about a love motivated to bring the love of Jesus to others and to love Jesus as much as I can, each day.
